Westminster Christian Loses

Westminster Christian doesn't have a senior in its program. Unfortunately youth did not serve the youngest team in the Elite Eight. Pinckneyville scored in every inning but two in a 12-1 win.

Warrior ace Ben Palmer (10-3) experienced arm problems and surrendered four earned runs in three innings of work. Carter Ward knocked in the lone run in the fourth for the Warriors (25-14), who committed seven errors.

"This is going to be motivation. The off season starts now," said Ward. "As far as practice in the off season, this is going to be in my mind I know for sure. I don't want the let down again. I don't ever want to feel this again. It's the worst feeling, but it's motivation; it's fuel."
