Westminster Wins Two 

Westminster Christian earned an impressive doubleheader sweep against a Belvidere North team that is a No. 1 seed in its upcoming Class 3A Regional.

Chadd Schroy was 2-for-3 with three RBIs in Game 1 as the Warriors notched a 10-9 triumph. Casey Schuring (3-0) picked up the win after striking out one in 1 2/3 innings. Ben Palmer recorded the save striking out all 3 batters faced. 

Westminster (21-4) then rolled to a 13-4 win in Game 2. Carter Ward paced the offense, hitting a home run and tallying five RBIs. Schuring (3-for-4, 2 RBIs), Cory Hodge (2-for-3, RBI) and Ted Grossman (2 RBIs) also chipped in. Brandon Siewert (7-0) was the winning pitcher after striking out four and walking two in five innings.
