Westminster ends skid

A pair of errors in the sixth sent Westminster Christian to a 4-3 Private School League loss against Aurora Christian in the continuation of a game that was suspended due to rain with the score tied at 3 last week. Casey Schuring was tagged with the loss.

The Warriors didn't take long to bounce back, though, as they ended their season-long five-game losing streak by beating Walther Lutheran 4-3. Westminster (22-9, 12-4) rallied from a 4-0 deficit by scoring twice in the fourth, twice in the fifth and once in the sixth.

Freshman Ben Stevenson pitched 6 1/3 innings and earned the win in his first varsity start. Sophomore Joe McGannon started at catcher for injured senior Carter Ward and went 2-for-3. Cory Hodge (2-for-2, RBI) and Brandon Siewert (2 RBIs) also aided the cause.
