 Westminster sweeps pair
 

Westminster sweeps -- Westminster Christian won 6-2 and 11-0 against host Rockford Lutheran in a non-conference doubleheader.

Freshmen Ryan Perez and Kevin Elder(1-0) got the job done in an eight-inning Game 1 win. Perez started and went five innings, striking out seven. Elder picked up the win in three innings of relief and also had a single and two RBIs in a four-run top of the eighth. Jake Moeller was 2-for-2 in the contest and Brandon Siewert had a double.

Siewert (1-1) went the distance in Game 2 win. The senior ace allowed just one hit and struck out four. He also collected two hits at the plate and drove in three runs. Brandon Weingartner (2-for-3, double, 2 RBIs) and Zach Holmer (3-for-4, double, 2 RBIs) also provided a lift on offense. The Warriors are now 4-3 this season.
