From Staff Reports
ELMHURST -- Westminster Christian just keeps on slugging.
A day after scoring eight runs in the first frame of its 13-0 win over Timothy Christian, the Warriors knocked in five
in the first on Wednesday in its 13-0 five-inning win over the same opponent.
Brandon Siewert was the star, pitching four innings of one-hit scoreless ball and striking out five on the mound, and going
3-for-4 at the dish with a home run and five RBIs.
"We've come out strong in the first (inning) the last couple days," Westminster coach Jeff Moeller said. "It was something
we talked about -- being aggressive at the plate."
Tyler Beachler (3-for-4, 2 RBIs), Cory Hodge (1-for-2, RBI), Casey Schuring (2-for-3, RBI) and Ted Grossman (1-for-2) also
contributed to the offense for Westminster (9-3, 3-0 Private School League).
